Veronica Swift
Veronica Swift在夏洛茨维尔成长在一个音乐世家。她的父母是爵士钢琴家Hod O’Brien和歌手Stephanie Nakasian。9岁时，她录制了她的首张专辑“Veronica’s House of Jazz”（2004），Richie Cole演奏她父亲节奏的部分。随后开始和她的父母一起巡回演出。11岁时，她出现在在Dizzy俱乐部的爵士乐系列演出中。13岁，她发行了第二张专辑“It is the Great to Be Alive”（2007年），萨克斯大师Harry Allen也在这张专辑中参与制作。

Swift was raised in Charlottesville as part of a family of musicians. Her parents were late jazz pianist Hod O’Brien and singer Stephanie Nakasian.At the age of nine, she recorded her debut album ,Veronica’s House of Jazz(2004), featuring Richie Cole playing with her fathers rhythm section. She began touring with her parents at this time as well. At age eleven,she appeared in the series Women in Jazz at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola;At the age of 13,she released her second album,It’s Great to Be Alive(2007),on which saxophonist Harry Allen also played.
Swift earned her bachelor’s degree in jazz voice in 2016 from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. While there, she composed a goth-rock opera entitled Vera Icon about a homicidal nun. Swift says she "needed an outlet for the anger" she felt at her father’s cancer, and needed a more dramatic genre to express the emotion. Her 2015 album,Lonely Woman,includes two songs with her father at the piano and may represent the last recording by Hod O Brien, who died in 2016. Swift placed second at the 2015 Thelonious Monk Competition. Following graduation,she moved to New York City, where she played Saturday nights at the Birdland jazz club.

Bryan Carter

Carter attended The Juilliard School as a Jazz Studies major and studied with Carl Allen and Kenny Washington.He was the recipient of the Irene Diamond Scholarship as well as the Samuel L Jackson Scholarship. While at Juilliard, Carter took a strong interest in composition, orchestration and interdivisional cross-collaborative performance.

Daryl Johns

Bassist Daryl Johns is making his mark on the music scene nationally and internationally.He attends the Manhattan School of Music and is the son of drummer Steve Johns and saxophonist Debbie Keefe Johns. At the age of 13, Daryl was a semi-finalist in the 2009 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Bass Competition.T.S. Monk wrote,"Daryl represents everything this music is about, his respect for the history belies his youth." Since then, his many awards and citations include being named WBGO’s “Jazz Star of Tomorrow” at the 2011 Champions of Jazz at Lincoln Center;winning the 2011 Michael Kamen Solo Award; multiple Student Music Awards from DownBeat Magazine;soloist awards from the Mingus Festival,NYC;and being a 2013 YoungArts Finalist. Daryl is one of the top young bassists in the world.

Joel Wenhardt

Born and raised in California,Joel spent his youth performing in regional and state honor bands,and the Colburn School’s Pre-college jazz program.While attending the Juilliard School,Joel became a mainstay at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and was invited by Wynton Marsalis to be featured in their 30th anniversary celebration,The Fantastic Mr.Jelly Lord.Joel has since expanded his artistry by performing at the Vail Dance Festival, recording on Paul Simon’s In the Blue Light,and traveling to the Monterey Jazz Festival as accompanist to Veronica Swift.Now,having completed Juilliard,Joel looks forward to continuing these artistic relationships and developing his own collaborative projects.
