钢琴、小提琴和大提琴的三重协奏曲在贝多芬大型作品中的演出机会很少，它原为贝多芬的学生和赞助人鲁道夫大公而作，考虑到大公的演奏水平，协奏曲对钢琴声部的技术要求较低，而弦乐声部的演奏难度更高。不过，丰富而互为对比的音色，独奏声部、独奏与乐队之间多样的对话，以及贝多芬如何设计和发展简单扼要的主题，都是这部作品中引人入胜的部分。在三重协奏曲后，音乐会将上演贝多芬的至高杰作——第九交响曲。  
The Triple Concerto for Piano, Violin, and Cello is perhaps Beethoven’s most underperformed large-scale work, partly due to its origin as a piece written for his student and patron Archduke Rudolph, as the concerto makes relatively modest demands on the pianist, the Archduke himself, while places great technical challenges on the string players. The interest, however, is on the work’s contrasting sonorities, rich interplays between soloists and between soloists and orchestra, and how Beethoven devised and developed simple and compact themes. After the Triple Concerto, the Ninth Symphony, Beethoven’s supreme achievements in the history of music will be heard.   许忠 | 指挥  
许忠是享誉国际乐坛的中国钢琴家和指挥家之一，现任意大利维罗那夏季音乐节、歌剧院首席指挥，以色列海法交响乐团音乐总监、首席指挥，上海歌剧院院长，苏州交响乐团首席指挥，苏州大学音乐学院院长，江苏大剧院江南之声音乐节艺术总监，福建省歌舞剧院艺术指导。2012至2015年期间，担任意大利贝里尼歌剧院艺术总监、首席指挥，成为有史以来第一位出任意大利著名剧院该项职务的亚洲音乐家。
