《大饭店》里有很多故事--关于我,我身边的人,也关于我熟悉或不熟悉的你们。即使生活不同,却还是会因为同样的东西感动,这便是我认为一部作品最有趣的部分:有差异的生活会让同样的作品展现不同的层次。或许,你们也会在今后的不同时刻,不同地点,突然想起今晚舞台上的某个人亦或某个画面。这对一个创作者来说也是件无比喜悦的事。
身为职业舞者,我常年独自一人于世界各地巡演,行李箱是我最好的伙伴。也是因为经常身处他乡,我总是会在各种各样的文化背景生活中,看见各种各样的感动与无奈。于是,我经常想,为何这种孤独可以创造出不凡的专注与坚持?当然,在这期间,我也时常会在心中和自己打架,仿佛可以从行李箱中拿出不同的角色和心情。他们可能是我,也可能不是我;他们有男有女,有天使也有恶魔。但我总是可以在其中看见自己,他们是我生活的一部分。
在饭店成为我临时的"家"之后,我开始观察这个"家"中的来往客人。他们细微的动作和情绪常常会引触我的兴奋点,我爱这些生活的细节胜过那些动人的故事。
在开始创作舞蹈剧场《大饭店》时,我和戏剧构作一起写了二十多个小故事,但都不满意。我想起了自己在各个饭店里的观察,决定弱化故事性和时间感,留下了空间中的"人"。 2017年7月,我开始了此次《大饭店》的创作,第一次自编自导自演的兴奋与矛盾贯穿始终。从演员到导演的转变,让我看到了前所未见的风景。 我邀请被誉为"电影美术之神"的奥斯卡奖得主种田阳平先生来为我们设计舞台,荷兰舞蹈剧场(NDT)的首席灯光师汤姆·维瑟担任灯光设计以及与我合作过多部作品的良师益友刘彤老师来担任作曲。著名的独立设计品牌EIN成衣定制,为我们每位演员进行量体裁衣。我们会在剧场内打造出一个接近真实的大饭店,并现实与非现实的空间转换,探讨个体与个体之间,个体与群体之间的冲突。我们尝试将事件或情感的冲突焦点提炼出来,进行具象的逻辑连接,将各路情理编织汇集,将镜框式舞台变成一个多维空间,大饭店里所有人共同上演着一场"罗生门"式的人性暴力,讲述一个 "你以为的真相,仅仅是你以为"的荒诞、悬疑故事。
因为跳舞我爱上了舞台,因为舞台我认识了自己,舞台上的身体不会说谎。我想,把自己的生活放到舞台上便是我与这个世界沟通最好的方式。
There are many stories in "The Hotel" - mine, my friends’, and yours. We live our different lives while feeling touched by the same things, composing the most intriguing part of what I call a theater work- each audience will interpret multiple l ayers of meaning because of their different lives.
It’s a delight to the author that sometime, somewhere in the future, an actor on the stage or a scene of this night will cros s our minds.
As a professional dancer, I have been touring around the world all the year round, accompanied by my full-loaded suitca se. Perhaps because I often travel to different places, I got to feel the touching moments and the helplessness in different cul tural environments. I often wonder how this loneliness can lead to extraordinary concentration and persistence, though I fig ht with my own thoughts from time to time. I bring out different characters and moods from the suitcase every time I open it. They might be me, or might not. They are men and women, angels and demons, through which I can always see myself. Th ey are part of my real life.
After I turned the hotel to my temporary "home," observing the guests coming and going through this "home" and speculating about the antecedents and consequences of each of their behaviors always excite me. I love these details of life more than the intricate stories. The dance theatre "The Hotel" is set in such a place that everyone is familiar with. The time and cultural background of the story have been weakened, with the people in the space remaining, living in the past, the present and the future. I love the stage because of dancing. I’ve recognized myself because of the stage. The body on the stage would never lie, thus presenting my life on the stage is the best way for me to communicate with the world!
The journey of "The Hotel" started since July 2017, throughout which the excitement and entanglement of working on a directorial debut have encompassed me. From an actor to a director, the transforming perspective presents me a different scenery that I’ve never seen before. I’ve invited Yohei Taneda, the Oscar-winning production designer hailed as "The Master of Film Production Design"; Tom Visser,the chief lighting designer of the Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT); Liu Tong, the great composer whom I’ve worked with several times and a mentor of mine into the production team, as well as the renowned independent designer boutique, EIN, for the tailor-made costumes for each dancer. Working together, we’ll present the audience a three-dimensional hotel space in the theater. Through the transformation of the real and the unreal in this space, the collisions between each of the characters, between the individual and the collective, will be revealed. We try not to narrate, but to draw on the essence of events and emotions, to build logical links between every figure, and to weave together the various scenarios. Hence, a multi-dimensional space is constructed within the parallel storylines, offering the viewer a mirror perspective. In an absurd and mystical story in which "the truth that you believe only exists in your head," a rehearsal of the Rashomon-style human violence is presented together by everyone in the hotel.

结束了一天的工作,经理回到自己的房间,想起今天发生的一切-- 教授和夫人在饭厅沉默地对坐,一如既往,可他明明听到他们的房间传来尖叫…… 情人又收到了玫瑰,这已经是她入住一周后得到的第七朵了,这痴心却不露面的人究竟是谁?新来的客人,孕妇,初见的温柔瞬间可化作匕首,矛盾的气质让她宛如旋涡,怎么会对那个醉汉死心塌地?
更令人惊讶的是,这个总是醺醺然的男人,在偶然清醒的时刻,竟能从他的眼睛里看到一个孩子。哦,对了,还有女佣,他的下属,跟他一起被困在这个大饭店的人,最近花在打扫客房上的时间越来越多了,她到底在做什么呢?
不想了,不想了。经理躺在睡了很多年的床上,让自己的思绪进入梦里,教授、夫人、情人、孕妇、醉汉、女佣以及他自己,都变成了鸟,拼了命地寻找可以栖居的枝丫。我们行过一生,暂住此地,肉身在大饭店辗转,灵魂何以为家?
After a whole day’s work, the manager went back to his room, recalling today’s memory--
Professor and his wife were sitting in the dining room, face to face, silent to silent, but a scream smashed it.
Lover received a new rose, the seventh one in this whole week, drowning but mystery man, who are you?
The new customer, a pregnant lady, her eyes are filled with mildness and charm, why does she love that drunken man so badly? But what surprised him most is that the drunk man, if he was sober, you can see a child inside his eyes.
Oh, of course, the maid, his assistant, another prisoner of this hotel. She has spent too much time cleaning each guest room, why? What occupied her?
Never mind.
The manager lied down in his old bed, driving his thoughts into the dream--Professor, Madam, Lover, Pregnant Lady, Drunken Man, Maid and himself. They become birds, striving to find the branches to settle down.
We walk through our life, stay temporarily, twirling among the hotel, but where should our souls reside?

毕业于中国人民解放军艺术学院。曾荣获"首尔国际舞蹈大赛、丹麦哥本哈根现代舞大赛、意大利罗马现代舞大赛、德国汉诺威国际现代舞编导比赛"等6项国际大奖,及CCTV舞蹈大赛在内的10余项国内赛事金奖。同期主演舞蹈作品《沙湾往事》、《天路》、《丝绸之路》、《花木兰》、《青衣》、《一撇一捺》等先后上演于美国纽约林肯艺术中心、华盛顿肯尼迪艺术中心及法国巴黎联合国教科文组织总部等地。现以年平均百场的表演量活跃在世界的舞台。《纽约时报》报道称"黎星是一个干净而又细腻的舞者,他极强的控制力让肢体一次次在舞台空间中到达极致,他的表演令人印象深刻过目难忘。"
Graduated from the Military and Cultural Institute of National Defense University (previously named the People’s Liberation Army Academy of Art), Li Xing has won six international awards including the Seoul International Dance Competition, the Copenhagen International Choreography Competition, the International Choreographic Competition "Premio Roma Danza", and the Hanover Choreographic Competition, and ten domestic gold medals including the CCTV Dance Contest.
