黄金年代距离今天差不多整整一个世纪，那是欧洲历史上灿烂成熟又朝气蓬勃的年代。上海出生的小提琴家王之炅和她的时代重奏乐团，用这个主题策划了他们在上海交响乐团团厅音乐季的首场演出，响亮的喊出了自己的音乐语言。
音乐会上半场肖斯塔科维奇的小提琴奏鸣曲尤为精彩：这一改编版本是由吉顿-克莱默和他的波罗的海弦乐团创作并录音发行、并且收获了大量好评的杰作，小提琴、打击乐和弦乐队的现场演绎能量惊人。下半场的演出曲目聚焦19世纪末至一战前音乐大家的代表作：勃拉姆斯、巴托克的舞曲；法雅的代表作《魔法师之恋》选段；以及黄金时代尾声最华丽的作品之一，斯特拉文斯基的《彼得鲁什卡》。曲目及主题的选择十分出彩的同时，王之炅和她的重奏团又不仅仅满足于经典曲目的演绎，他们的驻团作曲家沈叶将部分作品进行改编，追求一种更具想象力的呈现方式和现代观众交流。

时代重奏团由其灵魂人物、小提琴家王之炅创立。蓬勃朝气的时代重奏团重视曲目和演出形式上的开拓和创新，他们的保留曲目从巴洛克，到古典，再到先锋派。他们委任中国当代作曲家沈叶为首位驻团作曲家，并委约其为乐团创作作品。时代重奏团的成员全部来自上海音乐学院，他们当中有校友、教师，以及在读硕博研究生。同样的教育背景和统一的演奏法，让他们很容易达到默契。时代重奏团的艺术追求是把音乐带到更加广阔的空间里，希望以非传统的形式和多样性的组合方式来表达各个时代的音乐，不断探索重奏艺术的可能性。

Ensemble Epoch consists of violinist Zhi-Jong Wang and her music partners from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Essential to Ensemble Epoch’s artistic personality is its creative approach towards programming, which not only focus on but also beyond mainstream classics. ‘Golden Era’, the concert title refers to the mature and vigorous ‘Bella Europa’. In the program you will see composers representing the flourishing time a century ago: Brahms, Bartok, Falla and of course, Stravinsky. Their music will not only be faithfully rendered, in some particular pieces you will hear brand new arrangements with the goal to communicate with nowadays audience.
Zhi-Jong Wang, Violinist
Zhi-Jong Wang made her solo debut at the age of 14 with Orchestre national de Lille under Sir Yehudi Menuhin in France. Since then she has appeared as a soloist with various orchestras, including Orchestre National de Radio France, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Turku Symphony Orchestra, Konzerthausorcheser Berlin, Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra amongst others. She collaborates with musicians such as Yehudi Menuhin, Yuri Temirkanov, Myung-Whun Chung, Gidon Kremer, Lynn Harrel, Matthias Bamert, Okko Kamu, John Storgårds, Lior Shambadal, Christian Arming, Muhai Tang, Xieyang Chen, Jia Lü, Guoyong Zhang, Yang Yang, Yi Zhang, Daye Lin, etc.
As well as performing the standard violin repertoire, Zhi-Jong is a passionate exponent of contemporary music, performing works by Gubaidulina, Lutoslawski, Schnittke, Ligeti, etc. In the recent seasons, she premiered Ana Sokolovic’s Commedia dell’arte III and Nikolai Badinski’s Violin Concerto No.2. This sets as her initial passion for the Ensemble Epoch project.
